What happens to kids at Covenant when they graduate from high school? In many churches, the only place for them was to suddenly become adults – attend worship and do adult things in congregational life. The fact is, many young people aren’t ready for that step. They feel out of place and many, quite literally, are out of place when they head off to college or into adult life.
More of our college students are sticking close to home for their first two or more years of college. Other kids come home on breaks or for the summer. All of them are living in that chaotic and stressful time of life between being “adults and not-yet-adults.”
The Young Adult Ministry seeks to support young adults by sending occasional cards and devotional booklets, care packages to college students, and offering occasional events for these young adults to gather in community with one another.
