Our Vision for Ministry

Covenant's Vision for Ministry: A community of healing and hope in action

Our mission is: Open Doors in loving kindness,

Open Lives to Grow Faith,

Open Hearts to embrace justice,

Open Hands in humble service with our God

For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope. Jeremiah 29:11

Our Values:

Grace Filled Relationships: Our relationships with each other are living examples of Christ’s love for us. Now this is our boast. Our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world and especially in our relations with you, in holiness and sincerity that are from God. We have done so not according to worldly wisdom but according to God’s grace. II Corinthians 1:12

Dynamic, Inclusive Worship: Because God commands our worship; we value spirit-filled, accessible worship with a message that values all of God’s people. He came to preach peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through Him, we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. Ephesians 2: 17-18

Life-Long Faith Formation: From our love of Christ and his Great Commandment; we pass the faith to future generations and to those who seek it. Since my youth, O God, you have taught me. And to this day I declare your marvelous deeds. Psalm 71:17

Embracing Diversity: Just as Christ loves us regardless of our nationality, race, sexuality, or viewpoint; we too value and welcome diversity. For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:12-13

Steadfast Prayer: Prayer is essential at Covenant with our mission and all that we do rooted in prayer. Be joyful always. Pray continually. Thessalonians 5:16

Diligent Intentionality: Everything we do aligns to Covenant’s mission and the broader mission of the Church with no unintended consequences. But he who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer that forgets but a doer that acts, he shall be blessed. James 1:25

Our Strategy: Connect :: Grow :: Act
