UPCOMING EVENTS:
We will have two special midweek Wednesday night Soup and Worship services: March 19 and April 2. Soup at 6:30 pm (bring your favorite soup to share!). A brief worship begins at 7:00 pm, then you are welcome to enjoy soup AFTER worship as well.
For our outreach project during the season of Lent, we will be collecting donations of specific foods the pantry needs to help feed families: Pasta and pasta sauces of all kinds, boxes of Mac and Cheese, 1 lb. bags of rice and beans, canned meats, and canned soups and vegetables. Please start bringing these items on March 9; we will collect them through Easter Sunday. Our goal is to reach 5,000 servings. MESA is also in need of clean, empty egg cartons, so we will be collecting those as well.

We will have the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center Donor Coach in our parking lot on Sunday, April 13 from 8:30 am - 1:00 pm, accepting donations. ONGOING MINISTRIES:
Partnership with MESA Outreach Food Pantry
Covenant is partnering with MESA Outreach Food Panty to provide non-perishable food to families in our community. MESA Food Pantry serves people from all walks of life by providing basic food needs. Each month they serve over 2000 pounds of food to approximately 100 families in need. They are particularly in need of breakfast cereals to distribute each month. This is where Covenant can help. Please consider purchasing some 14 oz. boxes or cereal, small boxes of oatmeal, or instant oatmeal or grits each month while you are doing your grocery shopping. The food is collected at the church on an on-going basis, with regular deliveries of our donations to MESA. Thank you for helping others in our community! NOTE: Our challenge for the season of Lent was to collect 4000 servings of breakfast for those in need, and we actually collected 4837 servings or 477 lbs. of food!!
We will take donations any time - just email the church office or call us at 281-578-8799!
Partnership with Schmalz Elementary
Covenant also partners with Schmalz Elementary in Katy ISD. We support the teachers and students in various ways and participate in special projects from time to time. Some of our members serve as mentors for students at Schmalz. If you would like to apply to become a mentor or volunteer in other ways, visit the Katy ISD website.
